Mario’s Bonsai World
Bonsai Without Secrets (For CLUBS)

A new educational platform bringing Japan closer to your bonsai club

In the world of bonsai where tradition and precision meet passion and patience it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find deep, reliable knowledge that both inspiresand educates. That’s why we created Mario’s Bonsai World: a platform led by Mario Komsta, who completed a five-year apprenticeship at a traditional bonsai nursery Taisho-en in Japan, and Bartosz Warwas, a filmmaker and bonsai enthusiast who has been learning from Mario for the past four years. Their shared mission is to build the largest modern bonsai encyclopedia through high-quality video content available to anyone seeking to deepen their skills regardless of experience level.

A Growing Bonsai Encyclopedia, One Episode at a Time

At the heart of the project is ShuHaRi, a membership group available on Patreon, where four new episodes are published every month, each focused on specific bonsai topics. So far, 52 episodes have been released—over 40 hours of detailed content—covering techniques, tree development, seasonal care, bonsai history, philosophy, and real-life insights from daily work in the garden.

The videos are filmed across different parts of Europe—Poland, Spain, Belgium, and more which makes the knowledge practical and relevant no matter where you live. This diversity ensures the lessons are universally applicable to bonsai enthusiasts working in various climates and conditions.

All new episodes are available with voice-over dubbing in Spanish, German, French, and Polish, and we are continuously working to add dubbing to earlier episodes as well so that more and more content becomes accessible in your native language.

A Special Offer for Bonsai Clubs

We believe the strength of bonsai lies in its community and we want club members to have easier access to high-level knowledge that can help them grow and support each other.

That’s why we’re launching a special program for bonsai clubs:

  • Club members can join Mario’s Bonsai World at a discounted rate of just €20 + VAT per month, a significant reduction from the regular price.
  • They’ll get full access to the entire video archive and all new weekly episodes.

Additionally, if your club is large and a good number of members join, there may be an opportunity to organize an in-person visit from Mario, including a lecture or
live tutorial depending on availability and logistics.

Our goal is to build a community of people who truly understand bonsai not just technically, but as a way of life, a philosophy, and a connection with nature.
If your bonsai club and would like to join the program, get in touch with us.

Together, we can create a learning space where bonsai is no longer a mystery but a lifelong journey.
